Tai-O Village Matte Painting

Adding on to a memory

Purpose

Studying abroad in Hong Kong allowed me the opportunity to explored different types of settlements across the islands. One of my favorite to visit was the Tai-O fishing village. Pictures couldn't ever match to the memory I had there, so I recreated a picture to add in more effects.

References

This was my first attempt at replacing skies, so in order to make my matte painting more believable I referenced several pictures of Tai-O during different days, and other locations with/without clouds.
